Step back in time and enjoy the sensation of holding history in your hands.

For a limited time, the Happy Place Welcome curators are accepting a very limited number of subscribers to join us on a tour of the Walt Disney Company, circa 1950-1970. For $99 plus $12.50 shipping per shipment, you will enjoy a unique selection of authentic historical artifacts chosen only for you in a one-of-a-kind surprise package.

Curated by Disneyana collectors Jeff Baham and Kristen Pfeifer of the Mousetalgia podcast, your collection will arrive carefully packaged and accompanied by documentation written specifically for your items with historical notes about where each object came from, what it was used for, and notes about the era of the Walt Disney Company that produced your specimens.

Your shipment will contain between four and seven items, and will typically contain vintage ephemera, a "weenie" (or center of attention, using Walt Disney's terminology) specific to your package, and another goodie or two that has captured the curator's attention.

If you're ready to experience just a taste of the vintage Walt Disney Productions experience, please read our selection of frequently asked questions and then email us to apply for a subscription. We hope to help you find your own happy place. Welcome.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Happy Place Welcome subscription work?

Each subscription is per package, with an option to renew if the program remains in effect after your mailing. If you decide not to renew, your slot in the program will be forfeited to the next person on the waiting list, and you will have to renew at the end of the queue for future Happy Place Welcome subscription opportunities. Subscriptions are $99 plus $12.50 shipping and handling. To apply, email HappyPlaceWelcome@gmail.com with your name and mailing address, and if we are not sold out, we will invoice you for your package. If we happen to be sold out, we will add you to our waiting list. Shipments may take up to 60 days after purchase to allow for collecting and researching the elements included in each package.

What is included with a Happy Place Welcome subscription?

Each subscription consists of a single surprise package of items personally selected by curators Jeff Baham and Kristen Pfeifer. Your package will contain five to seven unique objects which will have the theme of 1950s through 1970s Disneyana, with a special focus on the Walt Disney Studios and Disneyland, although there is no guarantee that any given package will contain any specific theme, apart from Disneyana. The objects are guaranteed to be original, vintage items, and each subscription will come with a Certificate of Authenticity covering the boxed set as a whole.

The items are guaranteed to be vintage, but not unused, nor of any specific grading "quality." This collection is intended to be a tactile journey through time, rather than a set of collectible items. Our curators' specific goal is to share items that either demonstrate a moment in history or spark a hint of nostalgia. There will be no specific dollar value attributed to any of the items included in the collection.

I already have one of the items I received - can I replace it?

Each subscription box is carefully designed by the curators to exist as a whole, rather than a sum of the parts. So unfortunately, we can't substitute or replace items from a box. The curators wish to note that if you already have a tidy collection of Disneyana, there is a good chance you are already fulfilling for yourself the nostalgic itch that the Happy Place Welcome subscription is supposed to scratch, so perhaps this opportunity isn't just the right one for you.

I have another question!

We'd love to hear from you. Write to us at HappyPlaceWelcome@gmail.com.
